On Saturday, April 1, the Sandy Hollow Music Festival will return, following its success in 2016.
Organiser Paddy Johnson said tickets were limited to 400, so those interested should register soon to avoid disappointment.
This year’s event features Australian rock legends Mental As Anything.
And, local music talent will be a big winner of the night.
“The other five bands are all local bands,” Mr Johnson said, adding the musicians hail from Sandy Hollow to Newcastle, and in between.
“We’re trying to give local bands a leg up.
“We’re really excited about it and we’re excited about promoting local music, local people, and the local area.”
Mr Johnson said he hoped to host more Sandy Hollow Music Festival events in the future, but it depended on success in April.
The concert will be at Sandy Hollow Tourist Park, from 3pm until midnight.
Soundscapes, Dirty Utility, Mariah Band, Suspex and Millstreem are also set to perform.
Tickets include free camping, and there will be food and alcohol available on site.
Tickets are $80 and available from https://events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/sandy-hollow-music-festival
