It’s always a big day for the Rams.
- Kurt Dial
After missing an opportunity to wrap up the BHP Billiton Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League minor premiership last Sunday, the competition pacesetters have another chance at home on Saturday.
And, they’ll be spurred on by an extra supporter base at Olympic Park, the club’s Old Boys.
“It’s always a big day for the Rams,” president Kurt Dial said.
“The fact we’re playing local rivals Denman Devils, in all four grades, adds an extra element to the occasion.
“Both teams are smarting following losses in round 13.
“We were disappointing against the Singleton Greyhounds (28-20), while Denman was beaten by Scone 30-16.
“The boys can secure the minor premiership, courtesy of a win.
“However, we know the Devils will be desperate, too – they’re holding down fourth spot, just one point ahead of the Aberdeen Tigers.
“So, there’s a lot to play for.
“Everyone is invited back to the Muswellbrook Golf Club afterwards for the game day presentations.”
Gates open from 1pm, with women’s league tag kicking off at 1.30pm.
The main fixture starts at 5.15pm.
