With the scores locked at 22-all with the Singleton Greyhounds, the rampaging forward dragged a couple of defenders over the line to secure the 26-22 victory.
Aberdeen enjoyed a 16-4 lead at the break, thanks to tries to Trevor Griffiths, Jake Boyle and Sean Millwood.
Grant Savell booted two goals.
Singleton’s first half points came from Jacob Rinkin.
Another to Rinkin and a four-pointer to Ethan Coe, plus two Jake Mackaway goals, in the second period made it all square at 16-all.
Savell then touched down and converted to push the side ahead 22-16.
However, a Mackaway try and a late penalty drew things up again at 22-all.
That was until Ward crashed over.
The Player of the Match went to Millwood.
ABERDEEN TIGERS 26 (Trevor Griffiths, Jake Boyle, Sean Millwood, Grant Savell, Morgan Ward tries; Savell 3 goals) defeated SINGLETON GREYHOUNDS 22 (Jacob Rinkin 2, Ethan Coe, Jake Mackaway tries; Mackaway 3 goals)
