The search is over thanks to Denman RSL Club.
On Saturday, September 16, the business will host a Community Cracker Night at the new football oval.
From 3pm, join other Upper Hunter residents in browsing community stalls, enjoying delicious food and encouraging local school students as they perform.
Unlimited rides are free to those who have paid entry fee.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a cracker night without some pyrotechnics.
At about 7.30pm, gather your family and friends for an awe-inspiring fireworks display, courtesy of Upper Hunter Fireworks.
Denman RSL Club office manager Debbie Mitchell said it was a way for the team to give back to the community so everyone could benefit.
“It’s just a great family day they can come and enjoy,” she said.
“There will be a good variety of rides coming as well.
“It’s a really good blend – we’re trying to make it a bit of a carnival feel.
“There’s also going to be motorbike displays and the Mangoola Fire Brigade will be there.”
Community groups with stalls open during the event will benefit, not only from what they sell during the evening, but also through sharing money collected at the gate.
Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for children and pensioners.
Families of two adults and three children can enter for $25.
If successful, the club would consider organising the event on an annual basis.
