For the first time, the centre was painted the cool hue in honour of Green Week, to raise money and awareness for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
And, their support won’t end on Friday, with staff members participating in the Muswellbrook Steptember walk on Saturday.
“We’ve got a child that is in the centre that is affected by cerebral palsy, so it was a parent imput and we’re very glad to be on board with it,” educator Emma Russell said.
“So, the green week will go over a week.
“We’ve got family green hands for sale; we’ve got Play-Doh; we’ve got grassy heads; and each room will have special activities, talking about diversity and disabilities.
“I think diversity, disabilities and special causes like this affect everyday children and everyday families.
“So, being on board of it is a big part [of supporting], and getting out into the community is what we’re all about.
“We’re just proud to be on board, and hope all families and children can get something out of this week.”
It isn’t to late to be a part of the Muswellbrook Steptember walk on Saturday, from 9am.
Participants will gather at Simpson Park.
Entry is $5.
