On Thursday, October 19, Muswellbrook RSL Club will host their eighth annual major fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation – Girl’s Night Out.
Organiser Karen Egan said the event had been growing since it began.
“Over the past seven years we’ve raised over $100,000 so we’d like to just continue,” she said.
“We’ve been growing in numbers – we have about 250 women attend the night each year and turn up for a great cause.”
Mrs Egan said it was great because it gave women the opportunity to have fun with friends, while supporting an important cause.
“It gives everyone a chance to give back in a charitable way,” she said.
“We keep doing it because everyone keeps turning up, and they keep wanting it to happen.
“This year we’ve gone a little bit different, we’ve got a comedian Darren Sanders.
“We trialed him at our Boys Night Out and he was pretty good.
“So, we’re going to let him loose on the girls.
“Dr Noman Jawaad will be our Guest Speaker.
“We also have OMG Booths back to capture our candid moments.
“Once again generously donating their time Kyda Rock will be performing.”
Returning attendees will notice some familiar features of the event, including a glass of Two Rivers Belle on arrival.
Tickets are $30, and each table of 10 will receive a Hunter Belle Cheese Platter and snacks from Supa IGA Muswellbrook.
“Also a big thank you to Comprint for their printing and designing of our posters and tickets,” Mrs Egan said.
“We will also have our raffle with lots of prizes being donated from local businesses.
“We also have merchandise on sale in the form of polos and stubby holders.”
