Staff from Muswellbrook Shire Council’s Sustainability Unit ran a series of activities based around the new Waste Wrangler characters and creating a sustainable environment.
About 40 children and their parents were introduced to Max the Minimiser, Reece the Recycler and Gene the Gardener – and challenged to design their own waste-wise characters.
Amid the fun activities were important messages about reusing waste and the importance of thinking about all parts of the environment.
The Muswellbrook Shire Council will continue to use the Waste Wrangler characters in their ongoing War on Waste program.
