On Monday, November 13, the organisation will host a Seniors Expo at the Muswellbrook RSL Club.
“We know what it is like to be bombarded with information – you miss things,” TransCare promotions officer Jemma Anshaw said.
“With so many options out there it can be hard to keep up; this is why we wanted to bring everything together in one place by hosting an expo event.
“We have stalls coming along from different local businesses, services providers and community groups, with the aim to inform the community of their options.”
The format was successful in Scone in March, when TransCare hosted a mini expo as a part of the Seniors Festival.
It is hoped that the Muswellbrook event is just as successful – and can become a regular event in the annual calendar.
“We would still love to hear from any businesses or community events that are interested in having a free stall,” Ms Anshaw said.
“It is an opportunity to let the community know who you are and what you offer.
“I have personally been learning so much about the community while promoting this event – like Muswellbrook Library offering technology workshops and book delivery services.”
The Muswellbrook Seniors Expo will take place at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on Monday, November 13, from 10am to 1pm.
Entry is by gold coin donation, and it is open to anyone to attend.
