Teams from throughout the region, Scone, Denman, Merriwa, Singleton and Greta Branxton, will mix it with the local contingent from 2pm on Saturday.
“It’s a fast-paced day of racing for the swimmers at the Muswellbrook Aquatic Centre,” publicity officer Michelle Williams said.
“Warm up begins at 1.30pm, will a full program of events and relays to be won.
“With club numbers at an all-time high this year, it is magnificent to see so many keen local swimmers hit the water.”
The Singleton Amateur Swimming Club conducted the opening leg of the series at the weekend, with several youngsters competing for championships around the area.
“Muswellbrook took along a strong team and the day ran smoothly, despite dark storm clouds looming overhead,” Williams said.
“Numerous personal best times (PBs) were achieved and ribbons won.
“But, with the emphasis on fun and participation, our swimmers excelled on the day.”
