That’s right, the annual Santa Lolly Run is back in business.
The man in the red suit, along with the Mangoola Rural Fire Brigade trucks, will travel along Goulburn Drive, Sandy Hollow, on Friday, December 22, from 6pm, followed by a brief stop in front of the Community Hall.
Then, on Saturday, December 23, from 4pm, the Mangoola Rural Fire Brigade and Denman Fire & Rescue 283 will this time convey Santa through Denman, starting at the Kenilworth Street end of town.
“Everyone looks forward to it every year,” Mangoola Rural Fire Brigade Captain Shaun Hunter said.
“A big thank you goes out to Mangoola Coal for being our sponsor of the lollies and supporting such a great event.
“Listen out for the sirens and Christmas music playing.
“And, most of all, keep your eyes open for a special fire truck.
“But, one thing, please be patient as it will take a bit of time to cover the area in our convoy.
“Kids, do not run out on the road either.
“Feel free to stand with your parents at the nearest corner on your street, however we will endeavour to go up and down every street.”
