A MAN has been charged after allegedly breaking into a Denman home and deliberately lighting fires.

Police will allege, a man broke into a home on Paxton Street on Friday, January 12, before deliberately setting fire and destroying the property the following day, Saturday, January 13.
It is also alleged, the man deliberately lit two grass fires on Martindale Street on Sunday, January 14, and Kenilworth Street on Monday, January 15.
Following investigations, detectives from the Hunter Valley Police District attended a unit on Paxton Street and arrested a 22-year-old.
He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station and charged with break and enter house and steal, break and enter house and destroy property, two counts of intentionally cause fire and be reckless as to its spread, and damage property by fire.
The man was refused bail to appear at Scone Local Court on Friday, January 19.
