Visit Aberdeen Library on Wednesday, February 7, to see a display of historic photos from the Aberdeen Local Studies Group.
The group will also be available at the library from 4pm to 5.30pm to give out sheets for people to fill in their genealogy, which will be archived so local families can have their family history recorded and stored locally.
Members of the Aberdeen Local Studies Group will be happy to assist and answer questions regarding local history.
Light refreshments are provided including tea and coffee.
A survey of Aberdeen library members indicated interest in changed opening hours.
To keep overall hours the same, the Aberdeen Library will close on Mondays and Thursdays during the trial.
Libraries in Murrurundi, Merriwa and Scone already offer Saturday morning openings.
The trial evening opening is just one of the ways Upper Hunter Shire libraries are trying new ways to spread the word and help even more people access the amazing resources available free to library members through the Upper Hunter Library Network (UHLN).
