The ever-popular Doughheads is setting up base at the town’s shopping centre, Marketplace, from Monday.
And, it’s due to public demand, according to operations manager Chris West.
“We have a large following up there,” he said.
“So, we figured we shouldn’t deprive the people of Muswellbrook of our product.
“We’re only there for a week.
“But, if it’s successful, we’ll return.
“Our caravan Pearl allows us to bring the experience of Doughheads to the greater Hunter region.
“We’ve tried something similar at Erina, Tuggerah and Salamander Bay.
“No-one should ever miss out on having Doughheads in their life.”
The concept [of Doughheads] was 12 months in the making with Anna Farthing starting out on the weekend market trail.
The original plan was to run it as a bit of a side project.
However, the priorities quickly changed as word of Anna's delicious doughnuts spread fast.
Long line-ups and glowing reviews gave her the confidence not only to expand but set up a shopfront in the heart of the Hunter Street Mall.
Newcastle's love for the round ring has since “gone troppo” in the past year-and-a-half, forcing Anna to open a super impressive Doughheads headquarters at The Junction.
“Our flagship store combines old world craft with modern style to bring you an experience that will blow your mind,” Mr West said.
“Hand-crafted from scratch every morning, our team of bakers and pastry chefs use the highest quality produce to create doughnuts with real flavour that will capture your imagination, put a smile on your face and leave you craving more.
“Coincidentally, we’re launching our new menu on Monday.
“However, for Muswellbrook residents, we’ll have Nutella, Gaytime, Cookie Dough, Original Glazed and Freckle.
“Also, on each day of the week, we will offer one special doughnut per day.
“On Monday, it’ll be Red Velvet; Tuesday, White Chocolate Raspberry Pistachio; Wednesday, Neapolitan; Thursday, Citrus Cheesecake; Friday, Strawberries and Cream; Saturday, White Chocolate; and Sunday, Boston.
“We make them fresh daily, too.
“I’m sure that’ll be enough to tempt any tastebud.”
