And, that seems to be the case for Sally Pereira in her new role at Warrior Disability Services.
It’s a position, which has put a big smile on her face – every day.
“I’m loving it,” the director of participant services said.
“There was some uncertainty in the industry with the NDIS in full swing, so I started to re-evaluate things.
“I decided to go out on my own to provide the best support to my participants.
“They deserve a quality service in Muswellbrook and its surrounding areas.
“And, I’m confident I can offer that, especially with more than a decade of experience behind me.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity.”
Mrs Pereira said “community connection” was crucial at Warrior Disability Services, which is fully NDIS registered.
“To me, it’s all about ‘family’,” she explained.
“The participants want to be seen as important members of the community.
“It also gives them a feeling of self-worth.
“They’re volunteering around town – and we have a lot of things in the pipeline, too.
“Our motto is: we are determined, proud and believe in each other always; we are fearless and jump into life; we are family, we are warriors.
“Everyone works hard, then we have a social day once a week."
Warrior Disability Services is located in the Brook Street Plaza, Muswellbrook.
