If the answer is yes, then Muswellbrook Toastmasters is for you.
And, next Monday, the club will conduct a demonstration meeting at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club from 6.30pm.
“Toastmasters provides great opportunities to everyone, be it in the business or sporting world, and even in people’s personal lives,” vice-president public relations Jenny Webster said.
“Our club offers individuals the opportunity to learn how to better deal with nerves in the [public] speaking arena.
“Our friendly members are always there to encourage and support newcomers with suggestions on improvement and help in how to do so.
“That’s why we’re hosting a ‘demonstration’ for the benefit of anyone wishing to know what happens at our meetings.
“Residents are welcome to come along and either take part, or simply watch what occurs.
“Our meetings are always open to anyone who wishes to improve themselves – be they a business owner wanting to improve their leadership expertise; a team leader looking to improve their speaking skills; the unemployed looking to improve their interview techniques; or someone wishing to simply improve their communication skills.
“Muswellbrook Toastmasters looks forward to showcasing how we can help people in our community to be more assertive and speak in public in a more relaxed way.
“Feel free to bring along a friend if you cannot face the meeting alone.”
Muswellbrook Toastmasters meets on the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club in the Ron Adams Room at 6.30pm for a 7pm sharp start.
