“There’s still time to enter cooking, farm and garden products, pot plants and kids’ entries which will be judged Thursday and also cut flowers which will be judged Friday morning,” pavilion chief steward Mark Donaldson said.
This year marks Mr Donaldson’s second as chief steward but he has been a volunteer at the show for the past nine years.
“This is the first time that entries have been computerised which has boosted our entries by about 25 per cent.”
“There has been a decline of volunteers, we need the younger ones to step up and give us some new ideas.
“Volunteering looks good on your resume and assisting community groups is just a good thing to do.”
The pavilion has nine sections which also include photography and art judged today and tomorrow.
