Within the Upper Hunter, Calvary has locations in Muswellbrook and Singleton.
Building on over 40 years in the Muswellbrook community, Calvary Muswellbrook Retirement Community opened its doors in March 2017 creating a brand new purpose-built, aged care and retirement accommodation for the Upper Hunter.
The new village offers 65 residential aged care beds and 22 brand new one-, two- and three-bedroom villas to over 65s close to shops, transport and allied health. Many local and surrounding township residents moved into the community.
Calvary Muswellbrook residents will be celebrating Seniors Week by hosting a Country Fair on Saturday, April 7 from 10am to 2pm. Residents have been actively involved in ideas for stalls and activities on the day and there is a real buzz in the community.
There will be market stalls, information stands, sausage sizzle, and something for all family members including face painting, a petting zoo and cart rides on the day.
Brand new villas are available to move into and feature entertainers’ kitchens, ensuites, internal access, different configurations and importantly are pet friendly.
There are two display villas available for viewing during the Country Fair and a special pricing offer is available on the remaining villas until August. To find out more about available villas and moving into the village call 02 4967 0677.

Calvary Cooinda Retirement Community in Singleton is another Upper Hunter facility and offers 39 residential aged care places. They too will be celebrating Seniors Week with a Country Fair, on Saturday, April 14 from 10am to 2pm. Staff, residents and volunteers are all busy preparing for their special days.
There are many wonderful volunteers at Calvary who share their unique talents and time with the residents and we welcome anyone to call and find out about volunteering and how you can make a real difference. Simply sitting with someone who does not receive many visitors and taking them out into the garden and reading them a story is a genuinely rewarding experience.
