In a match shaping up as a danger game for the Cats, turned into a romp as Muswellbrook dominated from the outset, leading by 28 points at the first change.
They then extended that advantage at every break before kicking seven goals in the last quarter to prevail 20.14.134 to 3.6.24.
Adam Higham, Kyle Bray and Callum Strachab dominated for the Cats each kicking four goals while Jordan Solly and Dominic White also had strong games.

In the GE Women’s competition, Muswellbrook came across a hot Newcastle Novas side and, despite competing across the ground with their more-fancied rivals were not able to match them on scoreboard, eventually going down by 143 points.
Paris Adam, Ashlea Finn, Meghann Sawkins and Emma Wilkins all tried hard for the Cats.
