But, on Tuesday, the humble lawn bowls star led her much-loved team, Raymond Terrace, into battle at the regional pennants play-offs at the Aberdeen Bowling Club.
However, she wasn’t complaining, despite battling a broken finger she sustained in the [Games] fours competition.
“It’s normal for me [now],” Scott admitted.
“I’m a country girl, so I’m happier being back playing pennants.
“In fact, I am not a fan of the limelight at all.
“I love normality.”
The 27-year-old skipped the Australian women’s fours, known as the Jackaroos, to victory.
She, along with team mates Kelsey Cottrell, Carla Krizanic and Rebecca van Asch defeated South Africa 18-16 in the final.
To further enhance her status, she also claimed top spot with the triples outfit.
Scott, lead Krizanic and skip van Asch combined forces to comfortably account for Scotland trio Kay Moran, Stacey McDougall and Caroline Brown 21-12 in the decider.
So, after arriving on the Gold Coast without a Commonwealth Games medal to her name from three attempts, she returned home to Raymond Terrace with two gold.
And, into the media spotlight, too.
“It’s been hectic since the Games,” Scott said.
“A lot of people talk to me now.
“It’s funny, everyone wants to touch my gold medals,” she added with a laugh.
“They can’t believe how heavy it is.”
Meanwhile, the Upper Hunter District Women’s Bowling Association (UHDWBA) was continuing to host the regional pennants play-offs this week.
Maitland City claimed the grade three crown on Monday, while grades one, two and four took to the greens on Tuesday.
“It’s a big coup for a small club like Aberdeen to have it here,” Janine Katon said.
“We’ve got 48 players in action [today], representing Maitland City, Raymond Terrace, East Cessnock, Soldiers Point and Lorn Park.
“And, a plus is certainly having Natasha Scott in town – everyone was excited to meet her.
“UHDWBA only conducts the play-offs once every three years.”
