The camp is highly selective and students learn to write songs and perform from Golden Guitar winners and the “best of the best”.
Travis Collins attended CMAA Senior Country Music Academy himself, when it was still called Country Music College at age 19, and is currently touring his music across Australia.
He has been teaching pupils one-on-one to write original songs by using personal experience as inspiration.
The academy has taken on 23 students, with one from New Zealand this year.
It will continue until July 15, celebrating with a graduation concert.
