Mostly from slapping our foreheads when we realise that we have either left our bags at home, or just haven’t got around to gathering enough of them.
You’re not alone.
However, the team at Warburton Estate Agents has come to the rescue with a gesture of community spirit.
They’re giving away recyclable large shopping totes to ease the transition in what has been an important but sudden, and sometimes, frustrating switch.
It’s also a great step in reducing the devastating impacts of plastic bags on our marine wildlife, birds and solid waste litter.
Surprisingly, plastic bags don’t break down over time, unlike many of us at checkouts recently.
But, Warburton Estate Agents want to play a role in reducing the stress for local residents – and help the environment at the same time.
To grab a few bags, for free, visit the realty’s office at either Muswellbrook or Scone.
“Everyone is welcome and who doesn’t love a giveaway with heart?” principal Sandy Warburton said.
“We wanted to do something to assist the general community in a practical way.
“The talk on the news, social media, radio and around both offices has been all about the bag ban.
“The change is a strong and positive move environmentally and we want to contribute to that.”
Get behind the bag ban with Warburton Estate Agents – and make a difference, stop the headaches and move towards a better future.
