The event is a chance for people to show off the their vintage cars, bikes, trucks, tractors and even lawnmowers, while raising money for a good cause.
In 2018, the proceeds will go towards the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, as opposed to previous years when it went to the Aberdeen Lions Club and Aberdeen Men’s Shed.
David Murphy, who’s been involved with the show for three years, is helping organise the event and said they felt it was the right time to donate the earnings to a higher cause.
“This year the Men’s Shed is up and running and seems to be going okay,” he explained.
“And, the Lions Club is cruising along, so we thought we’d aim for a different project and prostate cancer seemed to be a pretty good one.”
The event isn’t just for car enthusiasts though, with plenty of market stalls and children’s entertainment, such as bouncy castles and puppeteers being available on the day, to ensure that it’s a fun family affair.
Regional Australia Bank, Upper Hunter Shire Council and Shannons have also jumped on board as sponsors in 2018.
This support, Mr Murphy believes, will allow the festival to continue to grow moving forward.
“Some things seem to come and go,” he said.
“But, we’re going from strength-to-strength every year, so I think it’ll keep going well into the future as well.”
While no major surprises have been planned for the anniversary, Mr Murphy hasn’t ruled anything out, imploring anyone with an idea or a special “big boy toy” to come along on the day and impress.
It will all take place on Saturday, September 1,from 8.30am until 1.30pm, with the cost of admission being just $2 for adults, $1 for kids, $5 for families and free entry for children under the age of seven.
