Things are heating up in Bengalla Muswellbrook Netball Association Winter Competition

IT’S play-off time in the Bengalla Muswellbrook Netball Association Winter Competition – and the action is heating up at Karoola Park.

Following many classic battles in all grades throughout the season, there are no second chances anymore, with the grand finals scheduled for Saturday, September 15.

Unfortunately, the main division suffered a slight setback at the weekend when the MFS Angels were forced to forfeit their encounter with the 17’s Reps.

This means the talented juniors face Comprint Solutions in the 2018 decider.

It’s a fitting result given both sides finished first and second on the ladder.

C grade, featuring JMG Fireworks and Munro Marvels, looked set to go down to the wire, too.

And, they didn’t disappoint either, with the Fireworks pipping the Marvels 17-13.

Earlier in the day, Pinkalicious claimed a hotly-contested D grade showdown against the Raine & Horne Hornets 9-7.

The fast-paced fixture also satisfied the spectators who appreciated the skills of some of the association’s youngest players.
