It’s sure to be a night full of no-holds barred entertainment at Denman’s Two Rivers Wines on Saturday evening as special guest Sigrid Thornton, of The Man from Snowy River fame, leads proceedings.
Muswellbrook Shire Council’s tourism and events officer Ruaan Van Der Wath said, between the shortening of the festival and the extra star power, he was preparing for big numbers.
“There has been a lot of talk around town about people coming out and supporting the event because of Sigrid being there; and also because it is being held over one night instead of two this year,” he said.
“I think having it in one venue, as well as the award ceremony and the screening [of films] in one night makes a big difference.”
Residents are welcome to start arriving at 4pm and the screening is scheduled to coincide with the sunset at 6pm, with the event set to wrap up at 10pm.
Mr Van Der Wath emphasised there would be more than just movies to enjoy, and said there was enough entertainment to keep the entire family happy.
“There’ll be a variety of food and drinks available, a performance from Felix Quinn Music and some roaming performers,” he explained.
“We’ll also have camel rides, too, so there’s certainly something for everyone.”
It will all finish with a showing of Ms Thornton’s major film, and is sure to be a very enjoyable evening out for all involved.
