Lluka Moffitt, Harmony Fagan, Bette Lysaught, Althea Mack, Bridie O’Neill and Nic Benge shone at the recent zone championship at Tamworth – and are now expected to showcase their talents even further at the highest level of competition.

As an added bonus, Moffitt also won the 12 years’ section at the New England tournament.

The other youngsters, Fagan (6 years), Lysaught (8 years), Mack (9 years), O’Neill (11 years) and Benge (14 years), all placed highly in their respective age groups, much to the delight of owner and teacher Channy McPhee.

“I’m extremely proud of my girls,” she said.

“They all performed brilliantly.”

McPhee, herself, is eyeing off an Australian title, too.

She’ll head to the Nationals on October 31 – and everyone in the club wishes their amazing mentor the best of luck in her quest.
