The heavily-backed Iamacrumpet (Greg Ryan) underlined her ability by jumping classes to win the Class 3 even though she was eligible for a Class 1.
Bowen accepted with her in a Benchmark 58 (1000m) at Muswellbrook last Sunday but scratched her in preference to this race.
“She had 57kg from barrier 15 on Sunday while she had 54.5kg in a smaller field in this race,” she said.
“I am still learning about her but I think she is a mare with a lot of ability and that she is going to get further so we will take her to Sydney and try her over 1100m.”
Ryan was full of praise for the mare after returning to scale.
“Boy, she can gallop,” he said.
“I thought we were going fast for the first 400m then she changed gear and went even faster.”
Imacrumpet, the $2.80 favourite, careered away in the straight to win by two-and-three quarter lengths from the Aleacia Bennett-trained Buddy Honest ($6.50) to give Muswellbrook-based trainers the quinella.
