The Baptist Church Hall was a packed venue, with current and former members mixing it with visitors from Singleton and Newcastle, as well as guest speaker David Heggart, Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen and Muswellbrook Shire mayor Martin Rush.
And, for good measure, a number of past presidents Michelle Hartrick, Graham Turvey, Stephen Thatcher, Tony Rockley, Roger Skinner and Helen Simpson joined the festivities alongside present leader Nadine Chudyk.
“It’s been a good year,” she said.
“So, it is great to see some familiar faces back in the fold [tonight].
“Everyone’s looking festive, which is terrific.”
Apart from Secret Santa, another highlight was Pam King, who handed out her traditional awards, much to the delight of those in attendance.
The Muswellbrook group’s meetings will resume on Monday, January 21, at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club.
