Now, it’s time for those who live at Denman and Sandy Hollow to experience another delicious offering, courtesy of the annual Lolly Run.
The Mangoola Rural Fire Brigade is again teaming up with Denman Fire & Rescue NSW Station 283 to not only bring Santa to the region, but put a smile on everyone’s faces in the lead-up to Christmas.
The “big man in the red suit” and the Mangoola trucks will travel along Goulburn Drive, Sandy Hollow, at approximately 6pm on Friday, December 21, followed by a brief stop in front of the town’s community hall.
Then, on Saturday, December 22, starting from 4pm, the rural fire brigade is joining forces with Denman FRNSW to convey Santa on the route.
They’ll begin at the Kenilworth Street end of the township, making their way through Denman.
“We all look forward to it,” Mangoola Rural Fire Brigade captain Shaun Hunter said.
“But, please be patient as it will take a bit of time to cover the area in our convoy.
“We also ask that kids don’t run out onto the road.
“Feel free to stand with your parents at the nearest corner on your street – and we’ll endeavour to go up and down the main streets.
“Just listen out for the sirens and Xmas music playing.
“And, keep your eyes open for a special fire truck that the Fire & Rescue guys will bring out again.
“A big thank you goes out to Glencore Mangoola Coal mine for being our sponsor of the lollies – and supporting such a great event.”
