And, even with a change of personnel during the off-season, newly-appointed Muswellbrook Rams captain-coach Mick Henry sees no reason for that to change.
After taking the reins from Troy Hilder, who guided the side to the 2018 preliminary final, the talented halfback predicts further success is on the horizon.
Despite the sizzling temperatures in recent days, his troops are hitting the training paddock to be at their best when the Scanlon Shield rolls around in March.
“I’m quietly confident we’ll do well this year,” Henry said.
“A lot of boys have been away [so far], but the others are keen to blow the cobwebs out.
“We even had a pool session last week, when it reached 41 degrees.
“So, they’re all keen.
“But, anyone is welcome to come down to Olympic Park on a Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.”
Henry will be assisted in the coaching ranks by John and Mick Deakin (reserves), Liam Dunn (under-18s) and Hayden Fox (league tag).
