RAMPANT WRITER: Sandie Docker will speak about her latest book when she visits Muswellbrook in Februrary.

AUTHOR Sandie Docker holds nothing back in her writing.

And, she explores several incredibly important themes and social issues in her new book The Cottage at Rosella Cove.

Drawing on personal experience, she takes on concepts such as female identity, community and family, and is set to share a further insight into these during a event at the Muswellbrook Library on Tuesday, February 12, at 10.30am.

Always looking for her works to have a realness to them, Docker has taken on topics in her latest piece that relate strongly and specifically to alcoholism and the discourse surrounding “just being a mum” and the stigma surrounding it.

Any current followers of the Sydney-based author or those who are interested in her style of writing are encouraged to attend the event on Tuesday – and get the opportunity to speak to one of the state’s most renowned writers still working.
