GOLDEN Guitar winner Drew McAlister will headline a free show at the Muswellbrook RSL Club this weekend.
The popular musician, who’ll be joined on stage by support act Matt Scullion, is currently on the road with his Home Is Where We Park It tour.
And, it arrives in town on Saturday evening, with doors open from 7.30pm.
McAlister has built a solid career that’s seen him nominated for an ARIA Award, win four Golden Guitars and a CMC OZ Artist Award.
He is at the forefront of contemporary Australian country music and, with 2019 now upon us, he is delivering formidable energy with his new show and album.
The Home Is Where We Park It tour is a collection of songs from his two solo releases, Black Sky and Coming Your Way, with a few surprises along the way.
This is a get up from your seat kind of show; it leaves you with a feel-good feeling in your heart and a tune in your head long after the song is through.
McAlister is a master of the “live” show and his vocal ability and high energy will leave the audience breathless.
The album, Coming Your Way, was nominated for Best Contemporary Album at the Golden Guitars in January, 2018.
His single Australian Heartbeat is another anthem rousing hit.
“It’s a reflection on the people who make the wheels turn every day of the year in Australia,” McAlister described it.
“It’s my family, it’s my friends, it’s me, it’s you.”
His third single Kissing a Girl Goodnight is a heart-warming and tender reflection of his life’s journey from young love to life with his beautiful girls.
It has just been added as country pick on CMC and is climbing the charts.
Scullion will entertain the crowd from 8pm, with McAlister’s show starting at 9pm.
