The “Heroes of the Outback” boasts some highly-refined and visually-enchanting stunts and moments that will take horse play and cattle mustering to a new level.
The show will gallop into the Muswellbrook Showground over two big nights – Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
“The Rooftop Express is an elite arena spectacular that features world-first stunts, true blue Australian comedy and awe-inspiring horsemanship,” Upper Hunter Show Society president Keith Googe said.
“The loveable bush characters and amusing storyline encourages crowd participation and family fun.
“It’s the perfect show for anyone who has ever wanted to put on a cowboy hat.
“The Rooftop Express team saddles up with an all-star line-up of horses, dogs, cattle and their unmistakably blue IVECO trucks.
“So, we’re hoping to see people from not only Muswellbrook, but Aberdeen, Scone, Merriwa, Murrurundi, Singleton and all parts of the region, too.”
Anthony Cootes has performed in numerous shows around Australia, including a residency at Warner Village Theme Parks.
With his own handle on true blue Aussie comedy, his specialty rodeo acts have inspired laughter and finger pointing wherever he goes.
David Manchon has entertained crowds nationally with his exciting horsemanship and is widely recognised as one of the rising stars of the horse industry.
He was a lead performer at the Australian Outback Spectacular and has worked as a presenter for Network 10’s Totally Wild and Toasted TV.
In addition, he was the on-screen mentor in Network 10’s and ABC’s Outback 8 kids program.
“The Rooftop Express pays homage to our primary industries and shows how the bush will continue to prosper in today’s modern Australia,” Manchon said.
“My team brings a keen originality and a refined experience of performance only able to be conveyed to audiences through first-hand experience of the outback and its characters, animals and way of life.
“I look forward to bringing this world-class production to the Upper Hunter Show in 2019.”
Although all the action starts on Friday (March 15), the Upper Hunter Show will officially open on Saturday (March16), along with the crowning of the Upper Hunter Showgirl following the Grand Parade.
A two-day pass is available for $50 (family – two adults, up to three children) or $25 (adult).
