The Muswellbrook Showground was gathering more numbers by the minute as attendees swarmed in to see what was on offer.
There was plenty to see and do, with the food and showbag stalls remaining as popular as ever and the local agricultural enthusiasts showing off their skills in various events.
Petting zoos also drew a lot of attention with creatures ranging from ponies to snakes available to admire and pet.
The show will last throughout the weekend, with Sunday being free entry and devoted to animal-related events and competitions.
Don’t miss the action-packed Triple B Rodeo this evening from 4pm, with the main performance taking place at 6pm.
Tomorrow features the Official Opening with Damien Leith, from 2pm, Grand Parade, the announcement of the Upper Hunter Showgirl and the unveiling of a number of life members.
There will also be a fireworks finale on Saturday night as the main drawcards close up.
And, it will surely be a spectacular sight to see the explosions of colour appearing over the skies of Muswellbrook.
