THERE was plenty to celebrate at Coles at Muswellbrook Fair on Wednesday.
Three new jobs for local bakers, and an enhanced shopping experience, were unveiled at the supermarket, much to the delight of store manager Stephen Clifton.
Coles has added an upgraded delicatessen and fresh produce section, as well as installed a bakery to the premises.
The supermarket will also feature a 'Scoop & Weigh' bar for shoppers to select, weigh and pack their own seeds, nuts and dried fruits - offering a convenient solution for healthy snacks on the go.
Mr Clifton, who's been working with Coles for more than 25 years, said he was really looking forward to officially re-opening the doors and sharing the new-look store with the community.
"We know that the locals have been seeking an upgrade and we're excited to show the residents an enhanced facility they can be proud of," he explained.
"We're thrilled to be showcasing some of the best local talent through our skilled hires in our brand new bakery.
"The fresh bread rolls and savoury treats that are made on site daily will be sure to bring lots of joy to the shoppers, especially in the lead up to Easter."
Coles acknowledged the occasion with a celebratory cake, a ribbon cutting ceremony and speeches from Mr Clifton, regional manager David Egan and long-serving team member Paul Watts.
The total number of staff members at the store will rise to 70, including Mr Watts who has worked at Coles for 35 years.
