LOCAL girl Alana Stephens is heading to Royal Randwick next month after winning the Muswellbrook Chronicle's Fashion Star poll.
The former Scone Grammar School student picked up 43.78 per cent of the votes, ahead of Jessica Farras, with 25.53, and Karen Dimmock (6.27) at Skellatar Park on Sunday.
Eathan Martin was the best placed male, securing a respectable 8.48 per cent.
Alana now receives two members' tickets to the Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday, April 6, as well as entry into the Fashions on the Field and one night's accommodation for two in Sydney.
The overall prize package is worth $730.
And, Alana's looking forward to the meeting.
"That's wonderful," she said after finding out about her fashionable victory.
"I'm a regular race-goer, so I knew about the competition beforehand.
"Thank you to everyone who voted for me.
"I haven't attended the Country Championships Final before, so I'm very excited."
