The competition, and code in general has been struggling in the region with several sides having to pull teams or drop into lower grades.
Rams president Stephen Lamb is hopeful the trend will turn around and implores anybody interested in having a run to get on board.
"Numbers are down from previous years so we're asking for past players or people that have just moved to town to come and get involved in the club," he said.
The social aspect of playing was also highlighted as being a huge positive and big reason to sign up.
"It's a great way to meet people, especially if you've just moved to the area and it's a good introduction to the town," he said.
Captain-coach for 2019, Mick Henry, also said it was a fantastic way to involve yourself in the community and revealed it was one of the key reasons he decided to become part of the side.
"There'a a great bunch of blokes here at the moment, everybody puts in 100 per cent and it's a good vibe," he said.
"Even between the younger blokes, the seniors and the girls everyone is getting along really well and blending.
"There's a great social side of it too for anyone who likes to get down to the local club, it's a good feed, good people and it's just a great vibe because everyone around the club is really happy."
Despite the recent drop in number and people shifting to other codes, both Henry and Lamb are confident that league has a strong future in the region and is hopeful they can get back on track in terms of numbers this season.
