Scoring six, they breezed past the home team's defence with skill, pace and precision, although would have been disappointed to conceded three at the other end.
The Eagles took the lead early and kept the opposition at arm's length throughout the match, before the floodgates opened late and the goals began to flow.
The pick for best on ground was extremely tight between wingman Kurt Huber, who bagged two goals and multiple assists, and club president and captain Andrew Spradbrow, who converted a hat-trick as striker, as well as being a key creator throughout the game.
Players votes narrowly favoured Huber in the end, who terrorised the defence with his pace and strength, completing a seemingly never ending amount of one-twos with the midfield and left-back Isaac Howard.
The side took a while to adapt to a switch in formation after half-time, moving to 5-2-3, but it did suit Mitchell Sheppard who relished the freedom of a more attacking role and was a menace down the flanks from then on.
Despite playing on a narrow pitch there was plenty of danger coming from the wide areas all showdown, with right wingman Cody Tsaousis finishing a tap in late on to score on debut.
Coach Brodern Adam-Smith was visibly pleased with the result and spoke of how relieving it was to get on the board straight away.
It may just be round one, but the Eagles sit atop of the ladder on goal difference, which is an encouraging sight for Muswellbrook.
Going around the grounds, Cooks Hill went down at home to Lambton Jaffas, the highly-fancied Hamilton Azzuri had an away victory against Dudley Redhead and a final result is yet to be published for scheduled encounter between Lake Macquarie and South Wallsend.
In the D grade Friday night competition, the Eagles went down away from home 2-0 to Mayfield Junior.
Muswellbrook now tackles Dudley Redhead at the "nest", Victoria Park, on Saturday from 2.45pm.
