But, on this occasion, Warrior Disability Services (WDS) will be its home - in Muswellbrook - for the next fortnight.
Since its formation, the successful concept has played a major role in restocking the "pantry" at Upper Hunter Community Services (UHCS).
The organisation's Emergency Relief Program assists those with immediate basic needs in times of crisis - that's everything from rice, pasta, spaghetti and lasagne to Weet-Bix and breakfast cereal; toiletries; long-life milk and sugar to tinned goods and fruit; vegemite, jam, honey and peanut butter to simmer sauces and stir fries; pet food; and much more.
"Over the past few months, the 'trolley' has found its way to Koora Industries - Challenge Community Services, Muswellbrook High School and Aberdeen Pre-School," Jesse Court said.
"The response is always amazing.
"All donations are made into food parcels, which are given away to people who require them most.
"Sometimes, residents need assistance through a life-changing event, illness, hardship or a change in circumstances.
"The Emergency Relief Program is usually their first point of contact.
"The Community Capacity Building Project, which is funded through BHP Mt Arthur Coal, initiated the notion to meet the upsurge in requests.
"So, we're thankful of their continuing backing.
"If anyone is interested in hosting the Travelling Trolley, they can contact UHCS on 6542 3555."
WDS director of participant services Sally Pereira jumped at the chance to be involved.
"I think it's a great idea," she said.
"In fact, I actually rang UHCS and asked for the trolley [to come here].
"It's terrific for the guys to understand what it's all about and offers them a chance to give back to the community.
"We're planning to have some fun days while it's here over the coming weeks.
"And, if residents want to drop something into the trolley, too - that would be fantastic."
