A DAY of smiles, costumes and all-round family fun took place at Muswellbrook Public on Friday, as two of the biggest events on the school's calendar were held simultaneously.
The Book Week parade was in full swing as children across all grades showed off their best costumes, and the crowd was at full capacity as Grandparents Day saw hundreds of proud older relatives flood through the gates.
Superheroes were a popular choice but old favourites such as Star Wars and Harry Potter were still prevalent, although more left of field choices such as Winx were also spotted amongst the hustle and bustle of the day.
Songs such as High Hopes and the iconic 2019 track Old Town Road were blasted over the speakers, which only added to the atmosphere.
The spectacle was followed up by a morning tea and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all in attendance.
