Power outage causes mass disruptions in Muswellbrook district

Electricity supply was lost at approximately 2.45pm on Wednesday, despite no obvious severe weather conditions in the area.

Energy Australia has been contacted and is not yet sure what is causing the problem, but estimates power will be restored by 5pm.

Motorists are being urged to be vigilant while driving, with traffic lights affected, too.

The issue is likely to cause inconvenience for many homes and businesses throughout town, although other amenities such as water are still operational.
