WORK is almost complete at the new Muswellbrook PCYC Gymnastic Centre with the fully-operational building due to open this month.
The facility was subsidised through generous grants from the Bengalla Mining Company, Liquor & Gaming NSW and local fundraising activities.
The donations of $145,000 from Bengalla and $150,000 from the NSW Government contributed to the construction of the building and the purchase of all gymnastic equipment.
Muswellbrook PCYC manager De-anne Douglas said the modern centre was a dream come true.
"I don't know who is more excited about the opening on Wednesday, September 25 - me or the kids," she admitted.
"The amazing support we have received from the community has really made this year-long journey worthwhile.
"The passion and thought that has gone into this building is heart-warming.
"With the new facilities, we can now offer more gymnastics classes, including tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, all levels and even adult classes.
"We already have more than 120 kids signed up for the next term and we are looking forward to welcoming more."

Bengalla Mining Company community relations specialist Fiona Hartin said the organisation was thrilled to have played a part in bringing the new facility to the community.
"There was a dream to have a gymnastics facility and we are so excited to have played a part in that vision becoming a reality," she added.
"So many children will get to use and enjoy the gymnasium."
The official proceedings are scheduled for the afternoon on September 25, with afternoon tea provided.
