The soaring temperature was no barrier for hundreds of people to turned out at Muswellbrook Race Club to enjoy the races as well as the family environment.
The function room was busy as always and the excitement surrounding every run was palpable.
For the main event it was trainer Denim Wynen's Dual Escape that was crowned champion, leaving many punters thrilled with jockey Serg Lisnyy, given the winner was paying $12 to come in first place.
Eye on America and I Wanna Be A Jeep came second and third respectively, while Denim Street trailed in behind to finish fourth.
In between races it was a vibrant social affair, with bouncy castles and face painting keeping children entertained, while drinks and food were popular as ever among the adults who kept themselves refreshed in the sweltering sun.
