MORE than 900 people passed through the gates at Denman Football Ground on Saturday, as the annual pig races raised money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
The weather wasn't ideal, although organiser Tim Freeman said he was more than happy to see some rain in town.
The showers were a welcome sight and so was the generosity, as pigs fetched hundreds of dollars each in the pre-race auctions.
Children were left smiling due to the amount and quality of entertainment on hand, including bouncy castles, face painting and put-put golf.
Drinks and food were available for adults, with Denman Rotary Club helping out with a barbecue.
As for the main event - the races themselves - there was plenty of excitement, anticipation and to be totally honest, cuteness, as the pigs made their way around the track.
It was a busy day for the usually quiet town, with lots of people making use of the newly updated main street.
