The defending champions thrashed the Muswellbrook Ramettes 32-0 at Scone Park in round five, in readiness for their grand final showdown with the Murrurundi Mavettes at Muswellbrook's Olympic Park on Friday, November 15.
Despite its lofty position on the ladder, Merriwa was in no mood to be charitable to its opponents.
Shai Blackadder posted a double, while Gaynor Blackadder, Kelly Maslen, Jessyca Morgan and Dimity Parker also bagged tries in the rout.
Lucy Prudden added icing to the cake with four conversions.
In fact, the game was called off early following an injury to a rival player.
The Mavettes sealed their berth in the season finale, courtesy of a hard-fought 6-0 win against the Singleton Greyhounds.
Rebecca Bennett was the lone tryscorer for Murrurundi, with Kate Brown booting a goal.
In the last outing on the night, the Aberdeen Tigers put the Scone Thoroughbreds to the sword 26-4.
The side led 16-0 at the break and maintained that momentum in the second half.
Robyn Draper snared a hat-trick, while Kelsey French and Linden Knight also touched down.
Draper backed up with two conversions, too, with Caitlin Albury landing one.
Imogen Walsh managed the four points for the Greyhounds.
The main fixture, between the Magpies and Mavettes, kicks off at 7pm this week, following the Tigers-Greyhounds' encounter from 6.15pm.
"Congratulations to all teams who have competed in the 11-a-side women's rugby league series," Hunter Valley Group 21 secretary Jane Walmsley said.
"Best of luck goes to all players contesting the finals' matches."
