New England Highway still closed in both directions after early morning fatality north of Singleton

A REPORT will be prepared for the information of the Coroner after a woman died in a two-vehicle crash north of Singleton on Wednesday.

Police were told about 10.40am on November 20, a car travelling westbound and a truck heading east on the New England Highway collided.

The female driver of the car died at the scene.

The male truck driver was taken to Singleton Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established.

The New England Highway is currently closed in both directions, with local diversions along the Golden Highway and Denman Road in place.
