The organisation hosted its annual Christmas at Our Place at the Baptist Church Hall on Monday night, with the ever-popular Secret Santa also making an appearance during proceedings.
About 30 people attended the function, which included special guests Toastmasters District 90 club growth director Tanya Wickham DTM, Immediate Past District 90 Director Phil Reed DTM, Area 15 director Zachary Foster ACB and Area 12 director Nellie Beggs DTM.
"It's always a fun time," Muswellbrook vice-president of public relations Nadine Chudyk said.
"But, it is also an opportunity to celebrate a number of achievements.
"Graham Turvey commemorated his 20th anniversary in 2019, while a couple of other members marked a decade of service.
"Other highlights included Barbie Turvey winning first place in the Area 12 (of which Muswellbrook belongs) International Speech Contest in March, as well as the election of the club executive.
"Several members - Graham Turvey, Pam King, Jenny Webster, Lesley Moore and Angela Mitchell - also helped students at TAFE with their impromptu speaking skills.
"We had demonstrations throughout the year to show how we are using our IT devices and the internet to promote the benefits of public speaking and leadership into the future, too."
Muswellbrook Toastmasters' maiden outing in 2020 will take place on January 20.
The club then meets on the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club from 7pm to 9pm.
Everyone is welcome.
