Not only is the club seeking redemption for back-to-back grand final losses to the Scone Thoroughbreds, but it's preparing to celebrate its 100th season in style.
The Tigers will host a number of events, including a special anniversary dinner on the June long weekend.
"We're hoping it is a huge year," newly-appointed captain-coach Daniel Hoogerwerf said.
"And, we'd like to add another premiership to our other 14 titles.
"The past two defeats [to Scone] have made us hungry.
"We want to taste victory again.
"So, there's plenty to play for.
"I'm sure it'll motivate the guys to succeed.
"A number of blokes are keen to return to the fold, too, especially for our centenary.
"Reaching 100 is a big thing for the town.
"But, it's the people who make Aberdeen a great club - and we're determined to do them proud."
Hoogerwerf, himself, is looking forward to the challenge of leading the Tigers again.
He oversaw the first grade squad in 2014 and 2015, and joined forces with Shane Hasselmann to claim the crown in 2017 and finish runners up in 2018.
"I wanted to have one more go," the talented hooker said.
"I feel I still have something to offer as a captain-coach.
"Even though we've lost a few players, over the past couple of seasons, experience won't be a major problem with the likes of Hamish Wolfgang, Marcus Marsh, Ewin Bartholomew, Hass [Hasselmann] and myself.
"Shane will be heavily involved as well; we'll bounce ideas off each other.
"We've also signed Greater Northern Tigers rep and 2017 Group 21 Player of the Year Dylan Thorne, which is a massive coup.
"I've got a lot of faith in the blokes at the club.
"We've played the past three deciders in both firsts and reserves, so the depth's here.
"And, we boast a good crop of youngsters (under-18s) coming through the ranks.
"But, like all sides, we're eager to attract quality players, too.
"We got beat up in the middle last season - I'm resolute to rectify that."
After a topsy-turvy 2019, Hoogerwerf believes the Group 21 competition will be much stronger in 2020.
"From all of the early signs, I think the talent is more evenly spread," he said.
"Muswellbrook, Denman and Greta Branxton will make a difference.
"Despite that, our goal is to finish top two."
