The new "head of digital engagement" will lead a small team in "finding new ways to maintain the Queen's presence in the public eye and on the world stage," Buckingham Palace said in Saturday's advertisement.
"This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional," it told prospective employees, offering an annual salary of STG45,000 - STG50,000 ($A87,200 - $A96,900)
"The role of Royal Communications is to engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of the royal family," the palace said.
"Whether you're covering a state visit, award ceremony or royal engagement, you'll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences."
Social and news media criticism of the royal family has grown in recent months after a series of allegations relating to the friendship between the Queen's son, Prince Andrew, and late US financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender.
Prince Harry has also complained since 2016 of abuse and harassment against his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in British newspapers and social media.
