At 9am on Thursday, December 12, a 39-year-old driver from Quirindi was stopped and submitted to a random drug test in Muswellbrook, which returned a positive result for amphetamine.
She was arrested and agreed to a secondary test, which came back affirmative for the same illicit substance, too.
The woman was given a notice of prohibition from driving for a period of 24 hours.
At the time she was driving a white Kia Rio hatchback and when police made inquiries into the vehicle, it was found to be displaying incorrect number plates.
It was also unregistered and uninsured.
The driver will now appear at Muswellbrook Local Court next year.
About 2am on Sunday, December 8, officers stopped a white van in Jordan Street, Muswellbrook, for a random breath test.
The driver, a 25-year-old Muswellbrook resident, returned a positive reading and was arrested before being conveyed to Muswellbrook Police Station for another analysis.
He returned a positive test and was charged with driving with the mid-range concentration of alcohol.
The man's licence was suspended on the spot and he'll appear in Muswellbrook Local Court in 2020.
Then, about 12.45am on Sunday, December 8, a 49-year-old Scone local was stopped in Park Street, Scone, for the purpose of a random breath test, which was positive.
The driver was arrested and conveyed back to Scone Police Station for a further analysis.
He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.
Again, his licence was suspended on the spot.
He will appear in Scone Local Court next year.
