Shortly after 6.30pm on January 13, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked to a property at Aberdeen.
A WRHS spokesperson said the 84-year-old had fallen about six metres in the incident.
Local NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him for lower limb fractures and possible pelvic injuries.
They then rendezvoused with the helicopter at Muswellbrook District Hospital.
The male was further stabilised by the WRHS Critical Care Medical Team and flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
